Reimbursement Policy

Comprehensive hospice benefits are available through Medicare and Medicaid. Under the Medicare Hospice Benefit, these programs pay a daily rate for services. While receiving hospice care, if a patient requires treatment for a condition unrelated to the terminal illness, Medicare continues to help pay for all necessary covered expenses under the standard Medicare benefit program.

Private insurance may also pay for all or part of hospice care costs. Patients should refer to their individual plan for coverage eligibility. If a patient does not have hospice benefits, or if these benefits are exhausted, please call (440) 888-7722 for further information.
